• Review of department/ organization grievance policy • Mistakes that can occur with improper communication in resolution meetings • Determining who the participants involved in resolving conflict will be • Dealing with resistance • Communication: Listening and verbal strategies • Role Playing • Identifying and assessing situations and solutions to resolve conflict
The intended outcome for participants will be as follows:
• Familiarize participants with the resources that exist in the organization • Understanding what “players” are needed to resolve conflict • Heighten awareness about dealing with resistance • Establish ownership of the conflict
